After a few events and rather dramatic success, we decided to step the BCR S14 up to the pro/am level. Though the BCR S14 will eventually receive a full vinyl wrap, we decided that showing up in this myriad of colors would be a fault to the MotorMavens name and therefore it was time to build some form into the the function! With a tight budget in mind, Formula Drift's Chris Ward and I headed to the local automotive paint shop and made our selection: Dark Pearl Gray. Though we were dying to see the color, painting is all about the prep work. We had many hours with 400 grit wet sandpaper and the DA sander in front of us!

The DA sander promoted the aged and pealing clear coat to a smooth camouflaged finish exposing an array of various colors all the way down to the 16 year old primer.

After much sanding, spraying and more sanding, we were satisfied with the prep work and began taping the body.

As Antonio would say: "OH SNAP!" We were stoked with the turnout. What a difference!!

The Circuit Sport headlight covers and corner lamps from Touge Factory really set it off!! This is a racecar built for drifting and we LOVE the turnout! The ERA-1 knuckles allow us to go nice and low while maintaining proper suspension geometry. While the look is nice, the true power of ERA-1 is on the track! Stay tuned for action!

The TRA Kyoto 6666 Customs kit, not to mention, rear spoiler, definitely grants a unique finish to the tail of this S14.

A few of the BCR sponsors plus one custom Autometer gauge. Have you seen Autometer's custom shop yet?

As you can see, the paint is not perfect but this is a budget paint job that ANYONE can replicate right in their garage!

Thanks to Chris Ward for a great time and a great finish! Come check out Team SIKKY at Streetwise Drift this weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway!!

Trent, it's easy bro....I did the prep work and Chris Ward sprayed it right in my shop. I'd be happy to share the details....
